Signifying its commitment to the PCI-Express bus, ATI has launched four new graphics cards. The new cards include the high-end FireGL V7100, mid-range FireGL V5100, and two entry-level cards-- the FireGL V3200 and FireGL V3100. These cards feature dual DVI-I output and quad-buffered stereo support with a synch connector (except the V3100, with DVI-I and VGA and no stereo connector), 128MB to 256MB of DDR memory, and a 16-lane wide PCI-Express connection. ATI claims that the FireGL V7100 doubles the rendering performance of its previous high-end FireGL cards, and includes driver support for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Windows XP and Linux, plus 32-bit Windows 2000.
