The Asian Game Developers Summit, which focuses on developers based in southeastern Asian nations such as Malaysia, Singapore, and the Philippines, will be hosted with the participation of the International Game Developers Association in October. Registration through the conference website has officially begun. The conference has already lined up several speakers in its schedule. Chris Natsuume's talk, "Embracing Innovation in Production," looks at ways to define better tools; Allen Simonsen's presentation, "Programming Stickiness in Games," discusses how to keep users playing the same game for long periods of time, Sarah Fay Krom's talk, "Auteur Theory For Interactive Storytelling," explores the struggle between player and designer in writing a well-crafted storyline; and Gabby Dizon's "Game Development Outsourcing to Asia," looks at the pros and cons of the practice. A full schedule of events so far is available online. The Asian Game Developers Summit will be held on October 10th and 11th, at the Cititel Hotel in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
