At its ongoing WWDC developer event, Apple has revealed that its App Store for third party developers, as well as a new, faster $199 3G iPhone will be launching in July, with Sega again on hand to demonstrate motion-controlled Super Monkey Ball, as well as other indie devs. All of the features rumored in the months leading up to the keynote address were verified by Apple, primarily that its latest iPhone model, which uses 3G for network speeds approaching that of Wi-Fi, would come complete with a GPS, and would launch at $199 for the 8 gig model and $299 for 16 gigs. Sega was again brought back to show off its tilt-sensitive iPhone version of Super Monkey Ball, who pointed to the new SDK's ease of use by saying it completed development of 110 stages of the game in just eight weeks. Mac game developer Pangea was also on hand to show off two new titles, the physics puzzle game Enigmo, which uses tilt control to lead droplets of water through a stage, and Cro-Mag Rally, a 3D prehistoric kart racer. Both games, according to the developer, were 'up and running' in three days. Finally, upstart Barcelona, Spain-based developer Digital Legends Entertainment showed off its first forthcoming 3D action title (pictured), promising the game by September. Both Sega and Pangea's titles were confirmed for the App Store's July launch at price points of $9.99. No further titles for the service launch have yet been revealed.
