The AOL unit of the company has had a very difficult two years amid plummeting advertising revenue, and it's trying to find ways to diversify its revenue streams. The new AOL strategy is expected to place less emphasis on ads, and focus on services like games and auctions -- pitting it against established online game portals like Yahoo and RealNetworks.
The public will learn more about the company's plans when it holds meetings with Wall Street analysts on Decemeber 3.
