Adobe has announced the immediate availibility of the upgrades to Photoshop 7 and Illustrator 10.
Available separately or as part of Adobe’s Creative Suite (hence the CS moniker), these new versions represent Adobe’s commitment to make its products work together even more seamlessly.
Key new features in Phtoshop CS include a new file browser that makes searching for content easier, expanded support for high-end 16-bit color in the RAW formats of digital cameras, and a Layer Comps feature for easily capturing design iterations in one file.
New in Illustrator CS is better support for PDF, the use of 3D shapes for creating illustrations, and support for OpenType (including its sophisticated alternate glyph capabilities), as well as Adobe Every-line Composer, a new common means of editing text across Adobe CS products.
