Adobe Systems is now shipping Adobe After Effects version 5.5. Adobe After Effects 5.5 boasts new features that enable precise control including multiple views, colored shadows, stained glass lighting and the Advanced 3D Renderer for creating high-quality intersecting layers. After Effects also includes versatile import and output options, including Advanced Real Media export and integration with Alias Wavefront’s Maya and Discreet’s 3ds Max, giving users more flexibility.
After Effects v5.5 has native support for Mac OS X and Windows XP and Pentium 4 optimizations. The new Effects palette helps users organize and apply effects, with eight new effects including color stabilizer, advanced lighting, grid and roughen edges.
Adobe After Effects is expected to ship in the first quarter of 2002 for $649.00.
