Activision Acquires Videogame Developer Gray Matter Interactive

Activision has announced that it is exercising its option to acquire the remaining 60 percent of Gray Matter Interactive Studios, creators of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, for $3.2 million in stock.
Activision said it issued 133,690 shares of common stock to pay for the acquisition, and that it did not expect the deal to affect earnings or revenue guidance during fiscal 2002 or 2003.
