Acclaim Entertainment Adds Capital

Acclaim Entertainment has secured millions in new funds through a stock sale.

The private placement of 9.4 million shares of common stock to institutional investors earned Acclaim $33.6 million in new funds. The company plans to use the money to pay down debt, finance product development and marketing, and make acquisitions.
