Film studio Twentieth Century Fox appointed Gary Rosenfeld, THQ's former SVP of business development, as its vice president of New Media Licensing. Rosenfeld will oversee the company's portfolio of licensed video games based on its movie properties, according to a report from U.S. website The Hollywood Reporter. He will also manage Twentieth Century Fox Licensing Merchandising’s games development team, exploring opportunities with online games and expanding its operations with console publishing. Prior to Twentieth Century Fox, Rosenfeld served as senior VP of Business Development at THQ, where he managed the developer and publisher's worldwide product acquisition and licensing activity. Before that, he worked at the Endeavor Agency's Business Affairs department, negotiating agreements with the talent agency's clients for motion pictures, television, interactive entertainment, licensing and merchandising, and marketing. Says Twentieth Century Fox's EVP of Licensing and Merchandising Elie Dekel, "Gary has a phenomenal background in new-media and video-game licensing and will bring a wealth of knowledge and insight to our team. We're looking forward to his leading our group into brave new territory as we expand our video-game business."
