The Serious Games Summit DC 2005, which focuses on games created for training, health, government, military, educational and other uses, is getting underway this morning, and Gamasutra is pleased to announce that it will be providing live coverage of the event via a special Serious Games Summit webpage. Interested parties can check back throughout this week for new write-ups of important session content. The conference, which features keynotes from Peter Perla, the Director for Interactive Research, Center for Naval Analyses, as well as researcher and neuroscientist David Warner, is being held from October 31st to November 1st, in Washington, D.C., at the Crystal Gateway Marriott, and there are a total of over 70 sessions dealing with all facets of 'serious games' being covered at the conference. [The Serious Games Summit is produced by CMP Game Group, which also runs Game Developers Conference, as well as GDC Europe, Game Developer magazine and Gamasutra.com.]
