Haitian civil rights groups have withdrawn their lawsuit in the US federal court, with the intention of refilling it in the Florida state court, according to information given by their lawyer Barry Silver. The high profile lawsuit concerns the phrase “kill the Haitians” in the game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, which the civil right groups have interpreted as “incitement to genocide”. Silver has claimed that the move favours his clients since Florida law has more restrictions on freedom of speech than federal law. He plans to refile the suit by next week. Source: Reuters
