Tomb Raider Delay Forces Eidos To Cut 2003 Profits

Eidos announced today that due to delays in the European PS2 versions of Tomb Raider: The Angel Of Darkness, the company is lowering its profit forecast for the fiscal year that ends Monday, June 30.
The company launched the game in the U.S. on June 20th, but there was growing speculation over the past two weeks that shipping the game elsewhere prior to the end of the fiscal year would be difficult. Any shipments recorded after June 30 must be recorded in fiscal 2004. The company said the delay should not impact the overall estimated sales for the title, and said that the combined profits expectations for fiscal 2003 and 2004 remain the same.
