Game engine company Trinigy has announced that Ubisoft's Blue Byte studio (The Settlers) has licensed the company's recently announced Vision Engine 7, for unannounced forthcoming titles. Trinigy notes that since its founding in 1988, Blue Byte has developed a number of successful franchises which have together sold in excess of 10 million units worldwide. Announced in June, Trinigy says the latest version of the Vision engine brings a "new generation of technology" redesigned from scratch for optimal performance on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Said Blue Byte head of programming Dietmar Meschede, “We have been evaluating multiple technologies. Trinigy’s Vision Engine and their outstanding support convinced us all along the line. They are a perfect fit for us.”
