Officials from Vivendi Games' Sierra Entertainment label have announced that
Scarface: The World Is Yours, released for the PC, PlayStation 2, and Xbox in October 2006, has sold a collective worldwide 2 million copies.
The game, developed by Sierra's internal studio Radical Entertainment, has continued to be a
top performer for the company, and stands as the third title from the developer to reach the 2 million milestone.
Scarface: The World Is Yours is based upon the 1983 classic film from Universal Pictures, and presents a “What if?” scenario in which the main character, Tony Montana the film's mansion shootout. Players are given the opportunity to survive the shootout, after which they must then rebuild his fallen empire and take on his enemies.
Vivendi has also confirmed earlier reports that the game will make the move to the Wii this summer, complete with new gameplay designed to take advantage of the console's motion sensitive controls.
