In a week full of new releases, Nintendo's
Pokemon Black And
White versions dominated Japanese charts with sales far higher than all other titles, reports tracking firm Media Create.
For the week ended September 19, the combined versions of the game sold over 2.5 million copies, far ahead of number two game
Front Mission: Evolved for PlayStation 3, which debuted with 51,084 units sold.
New titles
Yu-Gi-Oh 5D's Tag Force 5 and
Halo: Reach took the third and fourth spots on the charts, with 45,879 and 44,413 units sold respectively.
The final new title in the top 10 this week is Nippon Ichi Software's strategy RPG
Blue Roses: Yousei to Aoi Hitomi no Senshitachi at number eight.
Last week's top selling title, the manga based
One Piece: Gigant Battle, dropped to number seven this week, and
Namco Bandai's Taiko Drum Master DS: Dororon! Battle With the Ghouls!! rose into the top 10 at number nine after hitting the 13th spot last week.
Titles dropping from the top 10 this week include
Inazuma Eleven 3: World Challenge!! Spark / Bomber, Ace Combat X2: Joint Assault, and Nintendo's
Art Academy.
