Pokemon Black & White,
Japan's best-selling video game of 2010, has become the fastest title on Nintendo DS to sell more than five million units in the country.

by Andriasang), official sales data from Enterbrain and Media Create show sales of the twin games reached 5,036,724 units as of January 9.
Nintendo's hugely popular monster breeding and battling game is the fifth Nintendo DS title to sell in excess of 5 million copies in the region, alongside games such as
New Super Mario Bros. and
Nintendogs, but has done so faster than any other game to date.
Pokemon Black & White, released on September 18, 2010, was the best-selling game of the year in Japan, selling 4,914,813 copies by the close of the year.
Capcom's PSP title
Monster Hunter Portable 3rd followed in the end of year chart, with 3,480,989 copies sold.
