Developed by the UK-based Media Molecule, the platformer and creation tool
LittleBigPlanet 2 debuted at the top of the UK sales charts this week, reports tracking firm Chart-Track.
Launch week sales of both
LittleBigPlanet titles were very similar, with the sequel selling only 95 fewer units than the original did in its first week.
Rounding out the top three this week were the ever-popular
Call of Duty: Black Ops and
Just Dance 2, followed by EA's
FIFA 11 at number four.
Bioware and EA's
Mass Effect 2 for PlayStation 3 marked the second new release this week, and debuted at number seven.
