Following a top three debut last week before the game was officially released, there has been little surprise in finding the multiformat
Lego Star Wars II at the top of the UK game sales charts this week.
The PS2 version has achieved the second largest sales week of any LucasArts game, after
Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, and the game has become the tenth Star Wars title to gain a number one position in the UK all formats charts.
There have been no new entries in the top ten, but the trio of exclusive Xbox 360 titles, lead by Capcom’s
Dead Rising have continued to perform well, as have the two Nintendo DS titles in the top ten, both of which have increased sales over the previous week.
The highest new entry in the charts is PSP title
Tekken: Dark Resurrection at number twelve, while Sega's
Yakuza has debuted at number twenty – at the same time becoming the seventh gangster-themed game in the top forty.
Ace Combat: The Belkan War (aka
Ace Combat Zero) has entered at number thirty-one, while PC only graphic adventure
Broken Sword: The Angel of Death has debuted at number thirty-three.
