This week's top rental charts from U.S. game rental company GameFly, representing the most requested games for the week ending September 14th, highlight both to-be-released and already released games in a unique demand-specific chart. This week once again sees the overall charts dominated entirely by Xbox 360 titles, with the highly anticipated Halo 3 front and center. Former top spot-holder Stranglehold returns to the second position, where it remained for two weeks prior to its stint at number one, while Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare climbs into third after spending last week in spot five. BioShock slumps to the sixth position, to have its fourth-place spot taken by EA's Skate. Medal of Honor: Airborne also takes a slide, from second into fifth position. What follows is a breakdown of the top titles requested by GameFly subscribers across each of the major platforms: Xbox 360 1. Halo 3 (Microsoft), 2. Stranglehold (Midway), 3. Medal of Honor: Airborne (EA) The motion of the Xbox 360 charts is this week solidly identical to the all-platform charts as nearly identical this week to that of the all-platform charts; interestingly, after moving from fifth to eighth place last week, Blue Dragon slips out of the top ten entirely. Nintendo Wii 1. Metroid Prime 3: Corruption (Nintendo), 2. MySims (EA) 3. Carnival Games (Globalstar), 4. Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire (D3P), 5. Mario Strikers Charged (Nintendo) Metroid Prime 3: Corruption maintains dominance for the sixth consecutive week atop the Wii charts, while Carnival Games and MySims swap the first and second spot as the latter prepares for release this week. Mario Strikers Charged takes another step down this week into fifth, while Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire nudges the highly anticipated Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles entirely out of the top ten. PlayStation 3 1. Heavenly Sword (Sony), 2. Skate (EA), 3. Warhawk (Sony), 4. Lair (Sony) 5. Stranglehold (Midway) Heavenly Sword keeps the number one spot among PS3 requests for the second week in a row, while Warhawk, which it bumped down from first last week, slides another spot into third to accomodate EA's Skate. Lair also steps down from third to fourth, and Stranglehold nudges DiRT out of the top five to take its place in fifth. PlayStation 2 1. God of War II (Sony), 2. Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles (Namco), 3. Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror (Sony), 4. Stuntman: Ignition (THQ), 5. Madden NFL '08 (EA) Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror falls into third place as God of War II takes the top spot again, after a couple weeks' sliding left it in fifth last week. Naruto: Uzumaki Chronicles moves back up into second from third, as former second spot-holder Stuntman: Ignition slips to fourth. Madden NFL '08, which fell out of the top five last week, returns to take the fifth place. Xbox 1. Halo 2 (Microsoft), 2. Ninja Gaiden Black (Tecmo), 3. Halo (Microsoft), 4. Madden NFL '08 (EA), 5. Scarface: The World is Yours (Vivendi), Halo 2 is number one again this week, while the original Halo ascends to the third spot after hanging on at number five last week. Ninja Gaiden Black, which had suffered a slight fall from third to fifth last week, claims the second spot, displacing Madden NFL '08 into fourth. Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords slides out of contention, and Vivendi's Scarface: The World is Yours takes fifth. GameCube 1. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess 2. Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (Nintendo), (Nintendo), 3. Super Smash Bros. Melee (Nintendo), 4. Super Mario Sunshine (Nintendo) 5. Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition (Nintendo), Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes trade second and first spots this week again, after doing the same last week on the GameCube top five. Super Smash Bros. Melee spends its third week in the third position, while Mario Party 7, previously in the fourth part, falls out of contention from position four to allow former fifth-placer Super Mario Sunshine to step up into that spot. Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition, which had fallen to seventh last week, returns to the top five in the fifth position. Nintendo DS 1. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (Nintendo), 2. Drawn to Life (THQ) 3. Jam Sessions (Ubisoft) 4. DK: Jungle Climber (Nintendo) 5 Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day (Nintendo) Though it's not releasing until October 1, The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass retains number one this week for the third week in a row, fast at number one this week, while former second-place holder Rune Factory: A Fantasy Harvest Moon tumbles out of the top five entirely as THQ's platformer Drawn to Life takes the second spot. New to the top five are Jam Sessions and DK: Jungle Climber in third and fourth respectively, while former third place holder Brain Age 2: More Training in Minutes a Day slips to number five. Game Boy Advance 1. Pokemon: Fire Red (Nintendo), 2. Pokemon: Emerald (Nintendo), 3. Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap (Nintendo), 4. Pokemon: Sapphire(Nintendo), 5. Pokemon: Ruby (Nintendo). Finally, a break in the total Pokemon dominance of the Game Boy Advance top five as Legend of Zelda: Minish Cap enters third place in advance of the anticipated Phantom Hourglass DS game. Firm favorite at number one for three weeks, Pokemon Emerald, slips to second, while Fire Red takes the top spot after vacillating around the lower edges of the top five for the past few weeks. Sapphire continues its slow downward crawl to settle in the fourth spot, and Ruby slips from fourth to fifth position. PlayStation Portable 1. Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions (Square Enix), 2. Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron (LucasArts), 3. Jeanne D'Arc (Sony), 4. Monster Hunter Freedom 2 (Capcom) 5. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes (Namco) Former first spot-holder Monster Hunter Freedom 2 falls to fourth after spending two weeks in first, while Jeanne D'Arc slips into third again, after a short-lived gain to number two last week. Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes slumps into fifth from third position, and Star Wars Battlefront: Renegade Squadron climbs up into the second spot after spending last week at number four.
