New Zealand-based Sidhe Interactive has announced that its driving platformer title, GripShift
, is headed to Xbox Live Arcade by the end of 2007. According to Sidhe, this latest release of the game, already available on PSP and PS3's PlayStation Network, features updated graphics, improved controls and additional content.
Content updates have been made for both single and multiplayer modes, adding new Challenge courses and a Deathmatch mode. The XBLA version of GripShift
will also add achievements and leaderboard functionality.
Sidhe is a multiplatform developer who has also developed the Rugby League
series, along with Melbourne Cup Challenge
and Jackass: The Game
. The studio's managing director, Mario Wynands, is also the president of the New Zealand Game Developers Association.
Said Wynands, "Veteran players and newcomers to the game will both find something to love in this definitive version of GripShift
. We've added a substantial amount of new content, including new single player courses and a multiplayer Deathmatch mode for players bent on dominating their friends or climbing to the top of the leaderboards."
