God Eater: Burst Tops Japanese Charts, Golden Sun Makes Top Five
Namco Bandai's God Eater: Burst topped the Japanese sales charts this week, and the latest entry in Nintendo's Golden Sun role-playing series made its debut on the DS.
Namco Bandai's God Eater: Burst for PSP debuted on top of the Japanese software sales charts this week, reports tracking firm Media Create. God Eater: Burst is the expansion to the original God Eater, which features beast slaying gameplay akin to Capcom's popular Monster Hunter franchise. This new version features additional missions, weapons, items, and monsters, and sold 263,150 units for the week ended October 31. Konami's World Soccer Winning Eleven 2011 debuted at number two with 215,227 units sold, followed by Super Mario All-Stars Limited Edition at number three. Golden Sun: Dark Dawn launched at number five this week, and is the first entry in the classic RPG series since its original pair of GameBoy Advance iterations. Action RPG Solatorobo: Sore kara Coda e from Namco Bandai debuted at number seven, and Microsoft and Lionhead Studios' Fable III hit number eight with 20,025 units sold.
