The Entertainment Merchants Association (EMA) has announced the winners of its 2007 Video Game Home Entertainment Awards, with
Gears of War taking home four awards, including game of the year, and
Guitar Hero II winning the most innovative category.
Gears of War and
Guitar Hero II were just two of the multiple award winners, with LucasArts'
Lego Star Wars II and
World of Warcraft expansion
The Burning Crusade also taking home more than one prize.
Games nominated for the Video Game Home Entertainment Awards are nominated by a committee of game retailers and distributors, and must have been released between April 1, 2006 and March 31, 2007.
Said EMA president Bo Andersen, “EMA is pleased to recognize the best of today’s interactive entertainment.
