Gamasutra sister publication
Game Developer magazine has won two prestigious Folio Magazine awards, garnering Eddie and Ozzie Awards for the leading B2B game magazine's design and editorial work.
Awards organizer Folio is the leading outlet - in both magazine, website, and event form - for the magazine industry, and recently gave away its dual-focused awards at the Folio Show in New York.

Game Developer magazine, part of the suite of game industry properties that include the
GDC events,
Gamasutra.com and related sites, plus the
Game Advertising Online ad network, came away with an award both in the editorial-focused Eddies and the design-focused Ozzies.
In the Eddies,
Game Developer was the overall Gold winner in the the “Business to Business, Media/Entertainment/Publishing, Single Article” category for the article “Game Engine Showdown”.
This piece, written by former Game Developer EIC and current Google gaming advocate Mark DeLoura, was published in the May 2009 issue, and the magazine
joins winners including Entertainment Weekly, MacWorld, Edutopia, Fortune, and more.
As for the Ozzies, the magazine was also the overall Gold winner in the “Best Feature Design, B-to-B under 100,000 circulation” category for the
Deadly Creatures postmortem printed in the May 2009 issue, adding to
winners such as Time Out, Harper's Bazaar, and Marie Claire.
Worldwide subscriptions to
Game Developer magazine are
currently available at the
official magazine website, and the Game Developer Digital versions of all recent issues are
also now available, with the site offering
six months' and a year's subscriptions.
