The editors of
Game Developer magazine and Gamasutra.com have announced a call for responses to the 2005 Game Development Salary Survey, the eighth annual survey on game development and publishing salaries.
This survey is intended for all game professionals active in the industry during 2005 to complete, but is anonymous, and none of the information presented will be associated with any individuals. The information is aggregated to present a definitive view of the state of the game industry in terms of location and remuneration.
The results of this survey will be published in the April 2006 issue of
Game Developer magazine, and the results of 2004's Salary Survey can currently be viewed as part of
the sample April 2005 edition of
Game Developer's Digital Edition.
In appreciation of respondents' time and effort, all completed surveys will have that person's name entered into a drawing to win one of five Classic Passes for the 2006 Game Developers Conference.
Those interested in responding can now
access the 2005 Game Development Salary Survey and fill it out - please inform colleagues and co-workers if possible, and please note that the survey will stay active until the beginning of February.
