Course PTR has announced the release of Game Character Animation All in One, a comprehensive guide to the techniques of developing and animating characters for games. The new book covers introductory-level character-design techniques, as well as advanced character-creation and animation topics. Game Character Animation All in One, written by Les Pardew, targets the amateur or independent game programmer with intermediate to advanced game programming experience and focuses on the design and creation of 3D characters for games. Chapters teach character creation from concept to execution, using step-by-step instructions and utilizing affordable and readily available tools. Les Pardew is a video game and entertainment industry veteran with 15 years of experience. His work in the industry includes more than 100 video game titles. He currently serves as president of Alpine Studios, which he founded with Ross Wolfley in the fall of 2000. He was also the founder of long-time game developer Saffire.
