Hudson Soft's Deca Sports, a party title for Wii, has shipped 700,000 units worldwide, the company says, and sequels look likely. The title, paired for marketing with the Adidas brand on in-game clothing, is published in Japan since March 2008, the U.S. since May, and the UK since June. Konami distributes the title in Europe. The game's named for its 10 sporting events, which include archery, badminton, volleyball and even curling, with specific Wii remote-driven gameplay for each event. Hudson says it's "gathering its efforts" toward future titles that "follow in the footsteps" of Deca Sports.
