This week's U.S. revenue charts see the return of Real Racing
and Street Fighter IV
following recent content-expanding updates, as a discounted The Oregon Trail
challenges Angry Birds
for the top sales spot.
These charts allow end users to see who is making the most money on the App Store that day. It differs significantly from the Top 10 Games chart, which is ranked by sales, and therefore is dominated by lower-priced titles that sell more copies.
Data comes courtesy of Apple's public sales information. All titles in the App Store's "Games" category are considered in chart rankings.
This week's top-grossing iPhone titles are:
1. Angry Birds
2. The Oregon Trail
3. Real Racing
4. Bejeweled 2
5. Doodle Jump
6. Street Fighter IV
8. Words With Friends
9. Plants vs. Zombies
10. The Sims 3
Gameloft's adaptation of the educational adventure game The Oregon Trail
finishes as today's second highest-grossing iPhone game app, thanks to a recent 99-cent sale. Firemint's Real Racing
takes third after a recent update adding iPhone 4 compatibility, as Angry Birds
remains the App Store's top overall seller.
Capcom's Street Fighter IV
returns to the charts this week at sixth place following a recent update adding Cammy and Zangief as playable characters. Tetris
follows close behind at seventh place, as chart mainstays Words With Friends, Plants vs. Zombies
, and The Sims 3
finish up today's results.

falls to fourth place in today's results. The free-to-play Tap Fish
and Zombie Farm
follow at fifth and sixth, as ngmoco's microtransaction-supported GodFinger
beats out Farm Story Snap
for eighth place.
