Cousins Sean Orelli and Stephen Orelli took home the top prize at Stony Brook University's DARE competition, earning a $25,000 award to improve and promote their applications developed for Apple's iPhone platform. Stony Brook's DARE competition challenges students to create and develop new business enterprises. For the contest, the Orellis prepared a business plan and gave a presentation to a panel of judges detailing their future plans for Sobits, an iPhone-focused development studio recently started by the pair. The Orelli cousins have released two iPhone applications in Apple's App Store so far -- the rhyming puzzle game Hint Sprint and The Mood Setter, a romantic ambiance simulator. Sobits operates in Huntington, New York. Sean and Stephen Orelli plan to release four more iPhone titles by the end of the year.
