Please welcome to the stage: Osama Dorias! The game designer and instructor will be hosting the Game Developers Choice Awards at GDC 2022.

The Game Developers Conference organizers are thrilled to announce that Osama will be serving as host for GDCA 2022. It's the first time the GDCA ceremony is returning in-person in over two years—and for a momentous occasion like this, you need a momentous host.

For a few words from Osama on what to expect from this year's event, check out this video!

Osama Dorias is a senior partner relations manager at Unity Technologies. A career game designer, he has previously worked at Warner Brothers, Ubisoft, and Gameloft.

Osama is also currently teaching game design at Dawson College, and is one of three habibis on the Habibs podcast.

Osama loves to empower people in expressing themselves through game making. He especially loves to give a voice to marginalized people and causes. He has hosted game jams, workshops, and other community activities to this end.

The Game Developers Choice Awards ceremony takes place on Wednesday, March 23 at 6:30pm PT (with a simultaneous broadcast on GDC Twitch). GDCA follows right after the Independent Games Festival Awards, which celebrates independent games and their creators. Both the GDCA and IGF ceremonies are available to watch for all GDC 2022 pass-holders.
