Parents: If you've been eager to attend GDC next year but are in need of safe childcare options during the event, we've got exciting news. In-person childcare is returning to GDC 2022!

The Game Developers Conference is once again partnering with KiddieCorp to provide a children's program at the Moscone Center during GDC 2022, for kids ages 6 months to 12 years old. The team of excellent childcare workers will engage your children with activities they want to attend, providing you with that critical peace of mind so you can attend your sessions and events worry-free.

Activities are available for each age group, ensuring they have fun and learn in a way that best serves them. They include: arts & crafts, group games, music and movement, board games, story time, dramatic play, and more.

Snacks and water will be provided, but parents are required to provide meals for their kids. Parents of infants are also asked to provide diapers, milk/formula, baby food, and a change of clothes.

GDC and KiddieCorp are committed to health and safety during the event (GDC's Health and Safety guidelines are available here). All children eligible for the covid-19 vaccine will be required to show proof of full vaccination (along with staff and attendees). In addition, staff and children will be screened upon arrival, staff will be masked at all times, and common surfaces, and toys, and equipment will be disinfected frequently.

Spots for this hourly childcare service are limited and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis—so it's recommended that parents register their kids early. This partnership is one of many ongoing GDC efforts aimed at making it easier for a broader variety of game industry professionals to attend and speak at the conference.
