TGS is releasing the new version of Amapi 3D v.6, its 3D modeling program for MacOS and Windows. Amapi 3D offers powerful and precise modeling tools, a fast rendering engine and other advanced functions.

Amapi3D v.6 comes standard with a total solution for 3D content for the web from creation to publishing on a site. Based on the newly integrated 3Space technology, Amapi3D v.6 can associate dynamic and interactive behaviors to the objects it creates. It then generates compact files in Html, Xml and Zap (3D geometry) formats, which can be viewed in popular web browsers. This makes it easier to generate such things as collisions between objects, or spring-like links and forces behaving according to the laws of physics (gravity, wind...).

TGS says dozens of new functions have been added or improved to empower the user to create realistic models. It includes elevation maps, tension controls, perturbation tools, projection tools and more smoothing tools to make modeling for subdivision surfaces easier. Amapi3D v.6 contains a new rendering module for accelerated raytracing that provides an interface that allows for the specification of all parameters of the scene in a single screen, whether for objects, cameras, lights, textures or environment mapping.
