Di-O-Matic has revealed that both the PlayStation 2 exclusive Bully and the multiplatform Justice League Heroes were developed using the character animation software developer's suite of plugins for 3ds max, which include Morph-O-Matic, Morph ToolKit, Pose-O-Matic, and Voice-O-Matic. Snowblind Studios (Champions Of Norrath) took advantage of Di-O-Matic's Voice-O-Matic while developing Justice League Heroes in order to to lipsync the game's various super heroes. "With Voice-O-Matic, it’s a breeze to achieve realistic, believable lip synchronization in record time. Quick and easy to use, yet very powerful," commented Javier Rodriguez. Voice-O-Matic was also used by Vancouver-based Rockstar Games to perform lip synchronization on the characters in its recently released Bully. In combination with Pose-O-Matic, Voice-O-Matic allows animators to achieve quality lip-sync with bones-based facial rig directly within 3ds max. Voice-O-Matic can handle English, French, Italian, German and Spanish. Animators can also tweak their results with standard Bezier curve controls and smoothing algorithms so that the fine-tuning process is simplified. According to Di-O-Matic, its products are already used by several recognized video game developers, including Blizzard, Rainbow Studios, Capcom, Konami, RockStar, Snowblind Studios, Sega, and Ubisoft. The software developer's tools were also used by the Academy nominated Blur Studio on the introduction sequence in Sega's recently released Sonic the Hedgehog for the Xbox 360. ”We use Morph-o-matic as the morphing tool on all our 3DS Max based character rigs.” reveals Leo Santos, lead animator at Blur Studio. “Morph-O-Matic is simple and flexible enough so we can combine it with custom rig solutions very easily.” Morph Toolkit is an unique combination of tools to assist artist in the creation of morph targets.
