Nintendo of America officials have announced that Don James has been promoted to executive vice president of operations, from senior vice president while Rob Thompson has been promoted to senior vice president of consumer service, from vice president. James was one of the company’s first employees, starting work in August 1981 as the company’s warehouse manager. Thompson joined the company in the same year as a service technician. The company also announced today that fellow long-time employees Phil Rodgers, executive vice president of operations and Phil Borkowski, vice president of manufacturing, will retire on December 31st to pursue personal interests.
