Exluna announced today the release of Entropy 3.1, a 3rd-party rendering system for 3ds max. Entropy 3.1 incorporates depth of field and HDRI image-based lighting, in addition to its previous features like global illumination, caustics, and motion blur. Performance enhancements for features such as motion blur, raytracing, and sub-pixel displacement and better overall rendering speed are also in version 3.1. Entropy 3.1 now integrates with 3ds max, and translates all of the native geometry, material, and lighting information in 3ds max. The price per floating license is $1750, with a single license able to use 2 CPUs on a dual-processor system.
