Officials from Scandinavian developer Funcom have announced that the company has received €4.5 million ($5.4m) of new investment. The new funding comes from a consortium of Northzone Ventures (€3.5 million) and existing investors Teknoinvest and Stelt Holding, and will also be used to increase the scope and quality of the company’s future massively multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG), while expanding sales and marketing capabilities globally.
