The game was the best selling PC game in both 2000 and 2001, and has spawned four expansion packs. The Sims creator Will Wright will be presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award to Sonic Team’s Yuji Naka tonight at the Game Developers Choice Awards ceremony at the Game Developers Conference. Wright was the recipient of the 2001 Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by the International Game Developers Association. Wright was also inducted into the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences' Hall of Fame last month.
