Yuke's Bringing Neverland Card Battles For PSP Stateside

Publisher Yuke's announced that it will publish card-based SRPG Neverland Card Battles (Cardinal Arc Battle in Japan) for the PSP in North America in October 2008, courtesy of an exclusive distribution agreement with Atlus USA.
Yuke’s Company of America, the U.S. publishing arm of Japanese developer Yuke's Company Limited, announced that it will publish Neverland Card Battles, a card-based strategy RPG for the PSP, in North America in October 2008. The game will also ship in Japan under the title Cardinal Arc: The Neverland Card War, courtesy of Idea Factory, in late September 2008. Yuke's has partnered with Atlus U.S.A. for the Nort American release with an exclusive distribution agreement. Originally released for the PlayStation 2 in 2003, Neverland Card Battles for the PSP adds new cutscenes, new controls, updated sound and graphics, optimized 16:9 widescreen display, and ad-hoc multiplayer modes, which allow two players to battle in real-time. Neverland Card Battles puts players in the role of Galahad, a young "Dominator" on a quest to banish evil god Hellgaia back to his shrine and save Neverland. As a Dominator, Galahad can wield otherworldly powers found within "Spectral Cards." The game will feature over 200 cards in all. Said Yuke's Company of America manager of product development Ken Koyama: "The original Japanese version of Neverland Card Battles was extremely well received and caught our attention as the best trading card game out there. We have enhanced and optimized NCB for the portable experience, and will offer one of the finest card-strategy games ever created for the PSP this fall."
