Educational games developer Eduweb, in cooperation with The Minnesota Zoo, has released a new episode of its animal life simulation series
WolfQuest in a free downloadable bundle package.
The initial
WolfQuest episode,
Amethyst Mountain, puts players in the role of a grey wolf living in Yellowstone National Park. Gameplay focuses on hunting for food, marking territory, and finding a mate among a community of stranger wolves.
Slough Creek, a new episode exclusive to the recently released
WolfQuest: Survival of the Pack collection, challenges players to maintain a safe den for their mates and pups. The update expands explorable in-game territory by more than four square kilometers.
WolfQuest also features a multiplayer mode that allows up to five player-controlled wolves to hunt as a pack.
WolfQuest development is partially funded by the National Science Foundation, supporting upcoming episodes and expansions.
