Development house Ubisoft Reflections has awarded six-month paid internships to the student winners of the third annual Vis (Visualization) Awards at Teesside University in Middlesbrough, England.
Ole Kristian Homelien, Justin Lim, Wei Xing Yong and Peter Adamson will begin their contracts at Ubisoft Reflections following their graduation in the summer.
Teesside's Vis Awards highlight the achievements of students studying in the university's School of Computing. Homelien won the Games Programming Award, Lim took home the Games Design Award, Yong earned the Character Animation prize, and Adamson won an award for Modelling.
"We were very pleased that the University of Teesside invited us to sponsor these awards; we were able to spot some new creative talent to further our success as a developer of successful driving games," said Ubisoft Reflections general manager Giselle Stewart. "We were particularly excited about the calibre of students who won the internships and we hope it will be the start of an exciting career within Ubisoft for them."
Other Vis Award winners include Lindsey Hinton, who earned the Children's BBC-sponsored "Life's a Pitch" award, and Sara Ross, who received a work experience placement at digital music studio Loft Music following her winning the Digital Music Award.
