The Triangle Game Initiative trade association announced the Triangle Game Conference, a gaming industry convention that will be held on April 29th and 30th in Raleigh, North Carolina. The conference will feature a number of lectures, panels, and discussions, including several sessions dedicated to serious games and advanced learning technologies.
Adopting the theme "Innovate or Die," the Triangle Game Conference aims to bring together industry professionals from the east coast of the United States for a weekend of career exploration and information sharing. The conference will feature more than 35 lectures and panels in all, along with a two-day Expo and Career Fair.
The Serious Games & Advanced Learning Technologies lecture track of the conference will discuss how serious games, virtual worlds, social networks, and robotics can be used to educate and train North America's future workforce. Describing North Carolina as "the world's foremost hub for creating Advanced Learning Technologies," the conference's organizers will bring together regional professionals in the field for panels and discussions.
Other lecture tracks scheduled for the Triangle Game Conference include Innovation in Game Development, Games and the Media, The Business of Games, and Game Development University.
Speaker submissions for the Triangle Game Conference will be accepted for review until January 31st, 2009. The conference will be held at the Raleigh Convention Center and Mariott City Center.
