Thanks Newgrounds!

How the community at Newgrounds.com encouraged me to continue doing game development when I was just starting out.

The first game I ever released was called Missile Maelstrom. It was released in July of 2014 on the Google Play Store. The game was very simple, the art wasn't very good, and the music was very repetitive but it meant a lot to me. It was the first “real” game I made. It had art, music, and everything! Within the first month, it got about ten installs mostly from people I knew. I was very proud of my accomplishment of making a real game but I was very disappointed that nobody really played it. I didn't get to share it with many people and that was very discouraging.

In August of 2015, I released my next game Pizza Manufacturing Facility on Newgrounds. It won daily fifth place and to date has 7000 plays on Newgrounds alone. I actually got to share my game with other people. I got reviews and feedback! People I didn't know were complimenting the game! I was just starting out and I put a lot of time and effort into this so these things meant a lot to me. Since then I have gotten a job in the game industry. For the past two years I've been working as a programmer in the game industry and the company I'm working for, Noodlecake Studios, has just published my game Papa Luigi's Pizza Manufacturing Facility. Thanks Newgrounds. I think you really encouraged me to continue to make games.
