Unity Technologies and Noesis Interactive announced that a comprehensive Unity development training solution is now available and accessible via the newly launched Design3 streaming service.
The announcement follows the establishment of an education partnership between the two companies last year, to accommodate increased adoption of the Unity development platform in universities throughout the world.
Noesis Interactive's training materials provide students with instructional videos and interactive elements to better acquaint users with the concepts that drive development on the Unity platform.
The Design3 service gives all-hours access to the Noesis training library for a monthly fee. Design3 content is available for educators, students, corporate customers, and individuals interested in learning game development principles.
"The excitement over Unity in the academic world is growing quickly, and we're pleased that we have the opportunity to support Unity with our training materials," said Casey Noland, CEO of Noesis Interactive. "Our goal is to enable all Unity customers to be making games ASAP and Design3's new 24/7 streaming service will be perfect to accommodate the schedule and budget of all Unity customers."
The Unity platform allows for the development and porting of 3D game titles for the web, iPhone, iPad, PC, Mac, Android, Nintendo Wii, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 platforms.
"When we launched Unity in 2005, our initial focus was the education market but we soon realized that we needed to be successful in the commercial market before we'd be accepted by the academic community," said Unity Technologies CEO David Helgason. "With our blowout success in the game industry and beyond it's now exciting to see that so many academic institutions are becoming part of the Unity family, and Noesis is doing great work to make this happen."
