A five-person team of students from Harrisburg University of Science and Technology has won the PA Game Jam competition, a 24-hour game creation contest held simultaneously at Harrisburg and Carnegie Mellon University on October 3rd and 4th. The PA Game Jam challenged students to create a complete web-based game in a 24-hour period using the Wild Pockets game development platform. "The Wild Jokers" took home the PA Game Jam's top prize for Short Circuit, a game in which players must shoot a soccer ball through a series of rings. Short Circuit was chosen as the competition's winning title by an attending panel of industry experts. Entries were judged in the categories of Entertainment Value, Completeness, Visual Quality, Replayability and Novel/Creative/Clever. The Wild Jokers team members Anthony Ortega, Giovanni Acosta, Abdoulaye Camera, Aaron Kilcoyne, and Bobby Sims will split a cash prize of $2,500 for their contributions to the project. Short Circuit is playable online at Wild Pockets' website.
