Harrisburg University Announces Game Dev Program for High School Students

The Harrisburg University of Science and Technology announced that it will soon host the first meeting of the Central PA Gaming Academy, a month-long game development training class for area high school students.
The Harrisburg University of Science and Technology announced that it will soon host the first meeting of the Central PA Gaming Academy, a month-long game development training class for area high school students. The program will offer a first-hand look at what students can expect from a career in the gaming industry. The Central PA Gaming Academy will cover a number of aspects relating to video game development, including 3D modeling, game programming, and level design. Attending students will learn about industry career opportunities and meet with developers from Microsoft, Disney and Firaxis. Harrisburg University offers undergraduate and graduate programs in applied science and technology fields. Recently, the University held a series of discussion sessions relating to the development and implementation of serious games. The Central PA Gaming Academy is open to selected students from Harrisburg school districts who are entering the 10th, 11th and 12th grades. The program will run between June 8th and July 3rd.
