The Gnomon School of Visual Effects in Hollywood, California, has launched a three-year study program focused on production skills for the games, broadcast, and film industries.
Gnomon's "Entertainment Design & Digital Production" curriculum describes itself as "the ultimate program for aspiring digital artists blending a strong foundation in art and digital production with an in-depth focus."
Gnomon notes that the curriculum is aimed at students who wish to pursue a career in digital arts, but who have limited skills in the creation of traditional art.
The program guides students through one year of foundation art and design classes, followed by two years of work in digital production. Study tracks featured in the Entertainment Design & Digital Production program include Modeling & Texturing, Character Animation, Visual Effects Animation, and 3D Generalist.
The Winter 2011 term of Gnomon's new curriculum begins January 10th, 2011.
