GameWerks, a summer youth program that prepares enrolled students for a career in game development, announced that it is accepting applications for two camp sessions to be held in June and July.
Administered by the Georgia Center for Continuing Education in conjunction with Athens-based e-learning company MoWerks, GameWerks teaches students between the ages of 12 and 17 the basics of game design and encourages the development of collaboration skills and creative problem solving.
GameWerks' first summer camp, to be held from June 21st through 25th, is focused on game design. The second camp, a two-week course to be held weekdays over July 12th through 23rd, will challenge students to build working video game prototypes.
