Games for Change Festival 2010 Opens Registration

Registration has opened for the seventh annual Games for Change Festival, an upcoming New York City event exploring the design, funding, and cultural impact of social issue games.
Registration has opened for the seventh annual Games for Change Festival, an upcoming New York City event exploring the design, funding, and cultural impact of social issue games. This year's Games for Change Festival opens with a Youth Game Design Workshop and a 101 Workshop for social games development on May 24th. The Festival's event days, May 25th and 26th, will feature a Game Expo and a selection of programs and speakers discussing the current state of social games. White House Chief Technology Officer Aneesh Chopra will speak at the Festival's keynote event on May 25th. Other featured speakers include Quest To Learn executive director Katie Salen, New York Times R&D Lab specialist Nick Bilton, and Personal Democracy Forum co-founder Micah Sifry. The 2010 Games for Change Festival will be held from May 24th through 26th at Parsons, The New School for Design in New York City, with a special extended workshop day at NYU on May 27th. Early registration is available at the event's official website. A full program schedule will be announced shortly.
