The apperance of Flappy Bird at the beginning of 2014 opened a gerne of "Flappy bird" type. It must be said that many people are interested i the simple but extremely hard game like this. As you can see from the chart on Itunes or Google Play, a range of games whick mimick the gameplay as well as the graphic of Flappy Bird. A few months later, another kind of brain-breaking game came out. This is 2048. With simple graphic and rule, 2048 drives many players to mad because of its' challenge.

Two games above are the particular example for the trend of making and playing hard games. In my opinion, hard games are fresh meal for us to try. It can be a new trend of game design nowadays, however, it only occupies a smal fragment. Hard games are new and strange to players, which makes them play at least for one time. And, the simplest rule of these game push game designer to brainstorm their gameplay to this way. The result is a variety of games which were born after Flappy Bird, 2048,.. are the same.

What's your opinion on these type of game like "Flappy Bird"?
