The Fifth Conference on Artificial Intelligence and Interactive Digital Entertainment has issued a call for papers to be presented as lectures in its upcoming industry event, which will be held on October 14-16, 2009, at Stanford University. A variety of topics will be covered at the event, including artificial intelligence, entertainment robotics, and serious games.
Eligible submissions will be evaluated based on their accessibility to game developers and researchers, in addition to their technical merit. Papers must address accepted topics within either the conference's Research Track or its Industry Track.
Research Track papers will discuss AI research results that solve known game AI problems or enable new forms of interactive entertainment. The Industry Track includes presentations of AI techniques, issues, or case studies relating to product implementation in today's commercial environment.
Artificial Intelligence and Interactive Digital Entertainment's annual event serves as an opportunity for entertainment software developers to discuss artificial intelligence with academic and industrial AI researchers. This year's conference will feature invited speakers, presentations, live demonstrations, and product exhibits.
Conference papers must be submitted in PDF format, and must be no longer than six pages in length. The deadline for paper and demonstration abstract submissions is April 14, 2009. Further details are posted at Artificial Intelligence and Interactive Digital Entertainment's
website.
