Organizers of the Game Education Summit are accepting paper proposals from the academic, creative and industrial communities for its upcoming 2010 event, to be held at the USC School of Cinematic Arts on June 15-16 in Los Angeles.
Organizers of the Game Education Summit are accepting paper proposals from the academic, creative and industrial communities for its upcoming 2010 event, to be held at the USC School of Cinematic Arts on June 15-16 in Los Angeles. The Game Education Summit encourages discussion and debate regarding the current state of game education. Planned sessions will help instructors improve existing undergraduate and graduate programs. The event is expected to attract faculty from leading game development programs from across the country, and will feature a speaker lineup of major industry figures, to be announced at a later date. Game Education Summit organizers are seeking long papers, panels, and presentation proposals on the following topics: - Education (Curriculum, Accreditation, Methods, Integration, Diversity) - Course Development (Game Writing, Art for Games, Ethics and Games, Game Audio Design) - Administration (Starting a Program, Management, Collaboration, Grants, Funding) - Research (Serious Games, Literacy Games, Games for Health, Military and Other Research) - Industry (Partnership, Student Involvement, Internships, Entrepreneurship, Bringing Games to Market) Registration for the 2010 Game Education Summit is open at the event's official website.
